Accario is a Business Process Outsourcing firm owned by DragonX Pty Ltd (DragonX). DragonX is a private equity-backed special purpose vehicle which is acquiring knowledge process outsourcing and business process outsourcing businesses to technology-enable them and increase the service-offering to consumers. BPO Connect is one such company which was purchased and rebranded as Accario for this purpose.

Chairman
Alex is the chairman of Accario Group. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of Finance and Investment Banking. He was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty the Queen of England for his services in Investment Banking. He is also currently the Chairman of Union Bank, Colombo.

Non-executive Director
Indrajith carries with him over 25 years of experience in business. He is president at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and was a member of several institutions such as The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments. He is currently a Director at several companies including Browns Hydro Power PLC and Stromme Microfinance Asia (Guarentee) Ltd.

Non-executive Director/Advisor
Nihal is an experienced director with 11 years as a Managing Director in De Run Securities, providing specialised insurance and mortgage advice to over 2000 clients. He is also currently an Associate of Radar Results as well as the CEO of the Foundation Supporting a National Trauma Service in Sri Lanka.

Founder
Stephen has served as a Director on listed and unlisted public companies and various private ventures over the past 20 years. He has led the sourcing, structure and financing on numerous projects both in Australia and around the region.He is passionate about data, data science and the power of engaging with data to inform stakeholders and leaders to make evidence-based decisions.

CEO
Stephen has over 25 years of experience in the SMSF sector and a vast professional network. Stephen was the CEO and founder of Justsuper, which was sold to Superconcepts in 2015. He stayed on with them for 4 years helping to grow the business before joining Accario.

Head of Operations, Transitions and Improvement
Shane has over 14 years of experience in Operations, Process Consulting, Due Diligence and Transitions, with major expertise in Finance & Accounting, and HR Operations. He has a Masters in Business Administration and a Certification in Motor Mechanics.

Group Head of Finance
Shamil carries with him 8 years of experience in the Business Process Outsourcing industry, working in the finance and accounting department. He currently heads the shared services department for the Accario Group.

Director of Stakeholder Relations
Kat holds over 15 years’ experience in marketing, sales and events, managing large scale projects in both the commercial and not for profit sectors. She has extensive experience in creating and activating events and projects from an operational, sales and marketing perspective both in Australia and overseas.

Director of Stakeholder Relations
Bharathy holds over 8 years Managerial experience across Operations, Design and Marketing in both Business Process Outsourcing and Textiles. She is a doctoral student and part-time lecturer for Strategy and Management.

Head of IT Infrastructure
As a former outsourced specialist to Microsoft, Varanga caries over 10 years of experience working for multiple SME businesses, providing his expertise and skills in Enterprise IT Infrastructure Solutions & Services. He currently heads the IT Operations Team for the Accario Group

Local Account Manager
Chiran is a Xero Certified Advisor and a member of the Institute of Public Accountants of Australia and Institute of Financial Accountants of UK. He started his career in Accounting in 2007 and carries with him over 8 years of management experience in the Business Process Outsourcing industry.

Local Account Manager
Surendrika accounts for over 10 years’ experience in client support and back office operations. She is a CPA and currently leads the Bookkeeping division as a Local Account Manager.

Commercial Manager
Kasun has over 15 years’ experience in the commercial aviation industry in roles ranging from General Management, Sales and Marketing, Business Analysis and International Relations. Kasun has managed overseas stations for Sri Lankan Airlines, dealing in different markets such as China, Saudi Arabia and Eastern Europe. Kasun is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK.

All our accounting associates must go through 8 weeks of induction training covering Australian accounting and taxation. Accario requires employees to complete weekly two-hour refresher and continuous training programs run by Australian experts to enhance the bookkeeping, accounting and taxation knowledge of our team. Employees are actively encouraged to pursue professional qualifications as we provide tuition reimbursements on successfully passing exams.
